Do I have to use the body shop my insurance company recommends?
The owner of the vehicle has the legal right to decide on the body shop of their choice.
Do I need an appointment for an estimate?
Yes. To make an appointment, please call (919) 269-5506 and we will be happy to schedule you.
How long will my repairs take?
We are able to provide customers with an estimated timeline once the vehicle has been disassembled. Repair times vary based on availability of parts and the extent of the damage. We strive to provide frequent updates to the customer throughout the repair process.
Why is my insurance estimate different from the body shop estimate?
There are many reasons why estimates differ. One, there are different estimating softwares. Secondly, there are different parts available such as aftermarket, used, or OEM (original equipment manufacturer).We choose to write for original, OEM manufacturer parts. Lastly, there are judgment times on parts that can be repaired rather than replaced, as well as differing labor rates.
Do I have to pay my deductible?
If you are the Insured, you more than likely have a deductible. Think of the deductible as your copay.
What if my rental car allowance runs out before the repairs are finished?
Barnes Collision is not responsible for any rental fees that are incurred.
Do you offer a warranty?
We guarantee our repairs and offer a lifetime warranty unless otherwise stated.
Are there any damages you do not repair?
Yes. We do not repair totaled vehicles or rusted vehicles.
Do you perform restoration for classic vehicles?
We do not. While we offered this service in the past, we now only focus on automotive collision and RV repair.
